Funhogz Gear Exchange is a consignment sporting goods shop in Cranbrook focused on keeping outdoor gear in use and out of storage. Since opening in 2002, the shop has built its role around reuse, repair, and access, supporting an active outdoor community across the East Kootenays.
The goal is simple. Good gear should be used.
BUYING AND SELLING GEAR
Funhogz specializes in new and used sporting goods, clothing, and footwear for all ages. Inventory changes often, shaped by what the community brings in and what’s needed next.
Consignment is central to how the shop operates. Used gear is assessed in person, with staff helping determine realistic market value. Commission rates are structured by sale price, making it easier to turn unused equipment into something useful again.
WHAT YOU’LL FIND
The shop carries a wide range of outdoor and recreation gear, including skis, snowboards, cross-country skis, bikes, ice skates, snowshoes, camping gear, disc golf equipment, watersports gear, and outdoor footwear. Clothing and accessories are also part of the mix.
Everything on the floor reflects a focus on durability and long-term use.
REPAIRS AND REUSE
Repair services are offered for gear that still has life left in it. If something can be fixed, it’s encouraged to be repaired rather than replaced. This approach keeps equipment out of the landfill and helps stretch the value of what people already own.
