A quiet forest campground with room to roam and time to slow down.
Fort Steele Campground sits among the trees at the base of the Rocky Mountains, offering a calm place to settle in and stay awhile. Sites are thoughtfully spread across a forested property, giving campers space, privacy, and easy access to the outdoors without ever leaving the grounds.
Only a portion of the land is developed, leaving plenty of room for hiking, mountain biking, and wandering through the trees. Every campsite includes a firepit, and dogs are welcome, with a large off-leash area that makes it easy for everyone to stretch their legs.
The campground is well known for its exceptionally clean, heated swimming pool and the warm welcome from longtime hosts Rhonda and Bob. Many guests return year after year, drawn by the peaceful setting, thoughtful details, and the feeling of being genuinely looked after.
