Bubble Hut Café

A COLOURFUL STOP FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

Bubble Hut Café adds a playful note to Cranbrook’s food and drink scene, serving specialty bubble tea in a space that feels bright, friendly, and easy to drop into. It’s a spot that catches the eye of visitors and locals alike, offering a quick break that’s as much about fun as it is about flavour.

The café is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation and is proudly Métis woman-owned.

A FIRST OF ITS KIND IN CRANBROOK

Opened in 2021, Bubble Hut Café became Cranbrook’s first bubble tea shop, introducing a drink culture rooted in Taiwan and shaped by creativity and choice. The menu centres on customizable drinks, allowing visitors to tailor flavours and textures to their liking.

Over time, the shop has built a reputation as a cheerful, approachable place, helped along by its panda mascot, now known as Benjina George, who has become part of the café’s identity.

A STORY OF RETURN

After a brief closure, the café reopened under the leadership of sisters Shannon and Rosie Tang, bringing back familiar recipes while refreshing the space and experience. The reopening marked both a return and a reset, welcoming back regulars while inviting new visitors to discover it for the first time.

The result is a space that feels lived-in, cared for, and genuinely happy to see people walk through the door.

A SWEET PAUSE IN YOUR DAY

Bubble Hut Café works well as a mid-afternoon stop, a casual meetup point, or a treat between exploring downtown Cranbrook. It’s lighthearted without being loud, making it an easy addition to a day spent wandering shops, trails, or nearby attractions.
