About

Cranbrook Community Dance

Move, connect, and find your rhythm in a welcoming local dance community.

Cranbrook Community Dance is a partner dancing organization dedicated to building connection through movement. Focused on creating an inclusive and welcoming social dance environment, they invite new and returning dancers of all experience levels including complete beginners to join in the fun. Individuals, couples, and groups are all welcome.

Led by principal instructors Evan and Helena, the organization brings experienced and approachable instruction to the Cranbrook dance floor. Both began dancing in the Okanagan before meeting through a collegiate dance club at the University of British Columbia, and have trained alongside champion-level dancers and international instructors.

Cranbrook Community Dance makes it easy to get involved, offering a variety of drop-in friendly classes and social dance opportunities throughout the year. Whether you’re brand new to partner dancing or looking to refine your skills, many of their sessions are designed so you can join without prior experience.

With regular opportunities to learn styles like Waltz, Swing, Tango and more, dancers can show up solo, with a partner, or with friends. Their welcoming, community-focused approach makes it simple for both visitors and locals to step onto the dance floor and feel comfortable right away.

If you’re visiting Cranbrook or looking to try something new, be sure to check their Facebook page or the Visit Cranbrook Events Calendar to see what’s happening during your stay. Private lessons, wedding dance packages, and group workshops also available upon request.
