About

Rotary Park

Located in the heart of downtown Cranbrook at the corner of 10th Avenue South and 1st Street South, Rotary Park is one of the city’s most active and well-loved community gathering spaces. Situated directly across from City Hall, the park marks the transition between Cranbrook’s commercial core and surrounding residential neighbourhoods, making it an easy and welcoming stop for locals and visitors alike. Mature maple trees provide generous shade, while paved and lighted walking paths invite year-round use for strolling, relaxing, and connecting with the community.

Rotary Park is a hub for seasonal events and celebrations, including popular summer programming such as outdoor concerts, community dancing, and family-friendly activities. Children are drawn to the playground, swings, and spray park on warm days, while benches and picnic tables offer comfortable spots to unwind. The park is also home to the Cenotaph and the City of Cranbrook’s Memorial Wall and mural, creating a respectful space to reflect on the community’s history and those who served in global conflicts.

Founded with the support of the local Rotary Chapter as part of the International Rotary Association, Rotary Park reflects the spirit of service, remembrance, and community connection that defines downtown Cranbrook.
