A PRACTICAL PLACE TO STAY, RIGHT AT THE EDGE OF THE FOREST
Student housing at College of the Rockies offers short-term accommodation in a central Cranbrook setting, close to shopping, transit, recreation facilities, and trail access. During the summer months, the residence welcomes a mix of travellers, sports teams, event attendees, and work crews spending time in the region.
It’s a straightforward option for those looking for comfort, space, and easy access rather than a traditional hotel stay.
THE SETTING
Located beside the Cranbrook Community Forest, the campus provides immediate access to walking and biking trails while remaining well connected to the rest of the city. Golf courses, rivers, and outdoor recreation areas are a short drive away, and public transportation is available directly on campus.
The layout balances quiet residential space with open outdoor areas used for movement and downtime.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Guests stay in private bedrooms within shared suites, with access to common kitchens and living areas. Facilities are clean, functional, and designed for longer or group stays, offering more room to settle in than standard short-term lodging.
Laundry facilities, open Wi-Fi, free parking, and shared common rooms are available, along with outdoor amenities such as a running track, sports fields, and a patio with a barbecue.
BUILDING OPTIONS
The Village buildings offer suites with three or four private bedrooms, each with its own washroom. Purcell House provides six-bedroom suites with shared washrooms between a small number of guests. Bedding and towels are supplied in all rooms.
These options allow flexibility for individuals, teams, and groups travelling together.
